The Osceola Library, with six locations, offers basic library services and internet access.  The computer center offers free computer classes for patrons. 
The Osceola Library System and the Adult Literacy League offer ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages ) and Adult Basic Education classes at the Hart Memorial Central Library.

How can I get a lawyer?
By calling our Helpline Monday thru Friday 8:30 am to 4pm, prospective clients go through a brief eligibility screening process. If eligible, clients are scheduled to speak with an attorney who will discuss their problem with them. Cases needing more than telephone consultation are served at local offices according to our case acceptance criteria.

What kind of problems should I call about?
                Consumer law cases including contract disputes, creditor problems, bankruptcies, etc.
                Family law cases including domestic violence, divorce, custody, visitation, etc.
                Housing law cases including evictions and rental problems for both private and subsidized housing; homeownership issues including foreclosure and other home loan problems, etc.
                Health law cases including Medicaid, Medicare and private health insurance issues
                Administrative Law cases including food stamps, child care supplements, SSI, Social Security and unemployment compensation, etc.
                Probate matters including guardianship defense, wills, living wills, small estates, powers of attorney, etc.
Community Legal Services also works with local non-profit groups whose purpose it is to benefit the poor and the elderly.

The New Horizon Business Loan Program is the loan program of the Florida Alliance for Assistive Services and Technology (FAAST). This service is funded through the Rehabilitation Services Administration and the Florida Department of Education, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. The program offers Floridians with disabilities credit opportunities while purchasing equipment and items that will improve their overall quality of life through self-employment business opportunities.
One of the components of the New Horizon Business Loan Program is a low interest rate loan program through which consumers can purchase business equipment including computers, office furniture, and other business related purchases to help establish or maintain their business.
The business loan program is offered to those 18 and over. There are no income limits for applicants and all sources of income are considered. Those consumers that have damaged credit may also have the opportunity to qualify for a loan through the New Horizon Loan Program. Each application is evaluated individually. ABE

The Adult Basic Education program provides educational opportunities for individuals wishing to learn reading, writing and mathematics, or for individuals wishing to remediate basic skills in preparation for earning a General Education Development (GED) diploma......click for more info

Adult High School

The Adult High School provides a way for persons who dropped out of high school for various reasons to return and earn the credits they need for their high school diplomas. The State requires a student to complete a minimum of 24 credits. The Adult High School offers students a chance to earn those credits at their own pace with a flexible schedule. The students must meet the graduation requirements maintaining a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and must pass the FCAT exams to receive a high school diploma.  Students must be at least 18 years of age and must have withdrawn from their regular high school program......click for more info

ESL

English as a Second Language is designed for adults whose first language is not English and who needs to develop skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing. Most students attend classes to learn survival skills, personal enrichment/functional literacy skills, pre-vocational skills or citizenship......click for more info
